If the flight lands late — or cargo isn’t broken down yet — and the reefer is already on the clock, what happens?
We don’t dispatch against a scheduled ETA alone. If cargo isn’t available, options are hold the truck within an agreed wait window, cancel and rebook, or move product into temperature-controlled storage once it’s released — whichever protects the cool chain and limits detention. We confirm that call with you before the clock runs away.
How do you stop the wrong truck (dry van or wrong setpoint) from showing up — and who owns damage if it does?
Equipment confirmation is a hard gate before dispatch: reefer type, pre-cool, setpoint, and continuous vs cycle mode for fresh and flowers. Reefers maintain temperature; they don’t efficiently chill warm product. If the wrong equipment still arrives, we stop the load and document the handoff. Liability follows custody and carrier terms — our job is to prevent the mismatch and keep a clear record if product is compromised.
