Leaking or wet cartons, missing absorbents on wet cargo, wet ice where gel packs are required, weak stacking strength, and labels that don’t match the booking are the most common rejection causes. Airlines expect packaging that can protect the product through handling gaps — often including time without powered refrigeration. We review packaging and marks against carrier rules before cargo is presented.

Commercial docs that match the physical cargo, plus commodity-specific requirements: FDA prior notice for food (air shipments typically need confirmation at least four hours before arrival), phytosanitary certificates for many plant products, and health certificates for animal-origin goods. We coordinate document flow and timing with your licensed customs broker — we do not file entries ourselves — and push for temperature-controlled holding while any review runs.

We coordinate the next available uplift, keep the consignee informed, and arrange temperature-controlled storage while the shipment waits so the cool chain isn’t left on a warm dock. Final load decisions stay with the airline; our job is the recovery plan and the ground moves that protect shelf life until the next flight.
